Research Interests:

Nursing home and long-term care; translating research into practice

Annie’s research, and the topic of her recent publications, relates to identifying and evaluating effective methods for translating nursing home research into practice. She is co-Principal Investigator of a distance learning project, funded by the Retirement Research Foundation, on improving incontinence management and nutritional care in nursing homes.  Her work has been reported in The Gerontologist, the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, the Journal of the American Medical Directors Association, among other journals.   She is a peer reviewer for The Gerontologist and Health Affairs, and is active in professional membership associations.
